NYSNA SHINING STAR AWARD

Nominations Due by July 1st

We want to empower and inspire school nutrition professionals who not only serve the students, but the families in their communities as well. This award highlights an individual that has gone the extra mile and has the spirit of service and passion to make a difference. Our staff members are not always brought to the forefront and many times their special deeds go unnoticed. This award was created to recognize the district’s shining stars.

Individuals may be nominated by peers, colleagues, or supervisors. Self-nominations are not accepted. Nominations must be typed, and answers must not exceed the listed word counts.

The nominee must:

-          Currently be an NYSNA member in the school nutrition employee section (D level)

-          Currently be employed in a school foodservice program

The award winner will receive:

-          Complimentary Enhanced Day Tripper registration at the upcoming annual conference

-          Complimentary hotel room on Friday night
