NYSNA SHINING STAR AWARD
Due on or before March 1st
Recognizes school nutrition employees whose dedication, service, and passion positively impact students, families, and communities.
Individuals may be nominated by peers, colleagues, or supervisors. Self-nominations are not accepted. Nominations must be typed, and answers must not exceed the listed word counts.
Eligibility:
• Active NYSNA D-level member
• Currently employed in a school foodservice program
Recognition:
Plaque presented at the NYSNA Annual Conference
Judging:
Nominations shall be judged by the Awards and Scholarship committee. The person submitting the nomination shall be notified if their nominee was selected as the winner no later than April 1st.
