The NYSNA Industry Advisory Committee is offering awards for the annual conference to assist with registrations.

The purpose of the award is to encourage members of NYSNA who are School Food Service Directors and Assistant Directors, those in a position to purchase for their programs or assist in purchasing, who have not attended the Annual Conference in the past three (3) years, or who have attended in the past but are not receiving, or not able to secure, financial support from their district this year, to attend the event.

There are a limited number of awards available, each valued at $410. The award will include a full conference registration (all activities and meals are defined on the registration form).

Preference will be given to first time conference attendees, or members that have not attended the annual conference in the past three (3) years. The applicant's length of association membership and association involvement will also be considered. Previous award winners will only be considered after all other eligible applicants have been reviewed, if awards are still available.

Award winners will be recognized at the annual conference on Saturday at the Awards Ceremony, and are expected to not skip any conference functions that are included in the full conference registration.

ABOUT THE AWARD

APPLICANTS
The applicant must be a current member of NYSNA. It is acceptable for the award applicant to become a member at the time of application (to obtain a form visit the website) although preference will be given to members of longer standing.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications are due by July 1st. Support from your immediate supervisor is required, and viewed as a commitment to attend.
Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.

SELECTION
Applications shall be reviewed by the Committee and winners will be notified by August 1st. This will allow the attendee to book a hotel room (if applicable) by the hotel cut off date of September 25th.
